Japan's Virtual Console is set to continue receiving titles which western audiences hunger for. Starting things off on November 4 will be Fire Emblem Gaiden (Famicom) and Fatal Fury Special (NeoGeo). Later in the month, Square-Enix gives their Final Fantasy series another RPG companion in Romancing SaGa (Super Famicom), and Konami reinvigorates the MSX scene with the original Metal Gear. The following is the November lineup shared by Nintendo: Fire Emblem Gaiden (Nintendo, Famicom) Romancing SaGa (Square Enix, Super Famicom) Street Fighter II Dash Champion Edition (Capcom, PC Engine) Fatal Fury Special (SNK Playmore, Neo Geo) Chotetsu Brikin'ger (SNK Playmore, Neo Geo) Metal Gear (Konami, MSX) Yie Ar Kung-Fu II (Konami, MSX) Road Fighter (Konami, MSX) Penguin Adventure (Konami, MSX) Space Monbo (Konami, MSX) In addition to the above titles, Konami plans on further Virtual Console support with even more MSX titles. The other titles announced are: Parodius Quarth Contra Knightmare (Majo Densetsu) Gradius 2 Salamander Gofer no Yabo Epiode II Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake It looks to be a great month and beyond for retro gamers in Japan and if Konami decides to share the MSX fun overseas, we'll be sure you hear it from us. |
